An analysis of smart phones apps usage trends among the students of four/five specific departments of SMIU & KU

Abstract

Everyone is using smartphones and their applications, but many are unaware of the privacy policies associated with them, which poses a significant risk to people worldwide. My research aims to determine how many students at Karachi University and SMIU are aware of these privacy policies and their opinions on them.The research conducted a survey at both universities regarding smartphone app privacy policies. The results showed that overall, 60% of students at both universities are unaware that smartphones and apps can access their data, and 84% of students at KU and SMIU never read the privacy policy before installing an app. This indicates that students are unaware of the potential dangers of these privacy policies.However, after participating in the research, students expressed their intention to read privacy policies before installing apps in the future
